How often will I pickup my meal kits?


You select the frequency when signing up: once per week, twice per month, or just once a month. Our customizable subscription means you decide which weeks to receive meals, and you only pay for what you receive. Visit your account area to switch weeks on and off. You can easily schedule vacation holds.




How does the Meal Kit Subscription work?


Each week, we will prepare and deliver with your Subscription two finish-at-home prepared kits with easy recipes that are easy to follow. The contents of your Subscription can then be edited by you, and items can either be added or removed based on what you wish to receive and seasonal availability.
If you do not make changes to your Subscription, you will receive two pre-selected meal kits.
We ask that you order a minimum of $25 worth of items in your Subscription each week.




How many servings are included in each Meal Kit Subscription?


We have designed a meal kit plan to offer two dinners each week, customized around the number of people gathering around the dinner table. You select the size that best fits your needs. Our “Two Dinners for 2” members will receive two ready-to-prepare meal kits that will serve 2. Our “Two Dinners for 4” members will receive two ready-to-prepare meal kits to will serve 4. The 4-serving size can easily feed up to 4 adults, so families with young children will have extra for hungry parents, or a little left over for lunch the following day.
All Subscriptions are available in 2-serving and 4-serving sizes and can be vegetarian or not.




Can I make changes to the weekly Meal Kit menu?


Yes, based on your preferences and seasonal availability, you can both add to and remove the pre-selected items already in your Subscription. For instance, the Subscription could contain a stirfry meal kit and a sheet pan dinner, and you will be able to remove one or both meal kits and add instead a different meal kit or a ready-to-heat meal if you wish.
There will also be other items such as breakfast quiches, breads, desserts, and salads that you can add to your Subscription.




What happens if I don't edit the weekly Meal Kit Subscription contents?


If you do not edit the contents of your Subscription, you will receive the pre-selected items as your Subscription for the week.




Is there a minimum or maximum value to the Subscription?


We ask that you order a minimum of $25 worth of items in your Subscription each week.
There is no maximum to the amount you can order. If you want to double up on your Subscription one week, you could double the quantities of each item in it. You will also be able to add other items, not part of the pre-selected contents, that will be available in limited quantities.




When will I be able to see and edit the contents of my Subscription?


You will be able to edit your Subscription over the weekend prior to the upcoming week’s delivery. The exact hours are 6:00 AM Friday thru 12:01 AM Monday.




How do I edit the contents of my Subscription?


A newsletter with the meal kit selections in your Subscription will be emailed to you each Friday and will include a link to our “Web Store” that you can add items to and remove items from




Can I add as much as I want of individual items?


Based on seasonal ingredient availability, you may order more meal kits. When making changes to your Subscription, click on the “Details” link for an item to see if there is a maximum order quantity.




Will I be able to add Zilke Vegetable Farm produce to my Meal Kit order? Will there be produce from other farms available, too?


Yes, when in season, you will be able to order fresh fruits and vegetables from Zilke Vegetable Farm in addition to the meal kits in your Subscription. When availability allows, we will also offer larger bulk quantities, like flats of berries, for adding to your delivery. Most produce items available will be from Zilke Vegetable Farm, and we do source items, like fruits, from other Michigan farms. These items will be available to add to your Subscription. However, we ask that you not count these add-on items toward the $25 Subscription minimum.




Can I subscribe to additional Options like Bread, Honey, and Coffee?


Yes, all our Options can be added if you are subscribed to a Subscription.




What pantry staples and equipment will I need in my home kitchen?


You'll need some basics like oil and salt and pepper. We let you know what you'll need before you order, which we'll send to you again with your email. We occasionally call for butter and broth as an optional recipe item.
To finish meals, you’ll need basic pots and pans, knife, cooking spoon, spatula, ladle, and a measuring cup and spoons. Meal Kits designed for Instant Pots are clearly identified and available only as add-on or swap kits.




Do you offer gluten free or any other special diet options?


Our meal kits are prepared in a facility that handles gluten as well as all major food allergens: milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soybeans. We do offer recipes that are adjusted to certain allergens, but we do not offer a full menu fitting to specific allergies or diets, aside from vegetarian. Our Gluten-Friendly recipes are prepared in the same facility as our other meals, and may not be suitable for those diagnosed with celiac disease. We list all ingredients and allergens in our recipes. Even though we continuously do our very best to avoid any cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee against it. Additionally, as we work with what’s in season that can easily change in supply and demand, we sometimes need to replace ingredients at the last minute. How soon do I need to use the Meal Kits? When do they expire?


We utilize fresh ingredients in all our preparations, and depending on the vegetable, can maintain excellent quality in ideal storage conditions for 4 to 7 days. Each item in our Subscription will be labeled with a “best by” date. Frozen items are best used within 60-90 days.
